Definition:Interleukin-10 signaling is involved in various immunomodulatory functions. It promotes the release of immune mediators and antigen presentation, exerting important anti-inflammatory effects that may primarily characterize this family member. Signaling by Il-10 and the other members of the family activate the intracellular Jak-Stat cascade.
