Acts upstream of or within labyrinthine layer blood vessel development and spongiotrophoblast layer development. Part of Cul7-RING ubiquitin ligase complex and SCF ubiquitin ligase complex. Is active in cytosol. Is expressed in several structures, including heart; liver; lung; placenta; and spleen. Orthologous to human FBXW8 (F-box and WD repeat domain containing 8).
