Alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase complex

The alpha-ketoglutarate complex, also known as oxoglutarate, catalyzes one of the rate-limiting steps of the cycle. The complex is composed of E1, E2 and E3 components, of which the latter is also a component of other multi-enzyme complexes. The genes for the three components are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to gene report pages:

Ogdh (E1k, Ogdc) – oxoglutarate dehydrogenase
Dlst (Dlts) – dihydrolipoamide S-succinyltransferase
Dld (Dldh, E3) – dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase
