The amount of ethanol--the colorless, volatile, flammable liquid, CH3CH2OH, produced by yeast fermentation of carbohydrates or synthesized by hydration of ethylene--in the blood at the point in time when a subject again demonstrates the ability to balance, that is, to maintain bodily equilibrium and postural control to keep the body's center of mass within its base of support, after that ability has been lost due to ethanol consumption.
