Definition:The pathway of levobupivacaine-target interaction and of the biochemical or physiological responses to drug. It is the S-enantiomer of bupivacaine compared to which, it has a longer duration of action and is associated with less vasodilation. Genetic variations can cause differences in the response of the organism to the drug.
