Infectious Disease Portal – Rat Strain Models
The following table lists strains which have been annotated as models for the Infectious Disease Portal. Control strains are listed for the respective strain, for given references. The strains listed below are curated with a set of special qualifiers indicating a MODEL of disease, whether induced or spontaneously exhibited. The MODEL qualifier indicates that the curated strain is a rat model developed and used to study human disease. This requires multiple references or a detailed description of disease phenotypes to support the classification.

A more extensive search for strains that exhibit specific diseases, including those not specifically defined as MODELs, can be completed using the Find Models by Disease or Phenotype tool.
