GENE - CHEMICAL INTERACTIONS REPORT

RGD ID: 1351542
Species: Homo sapiens
RGD Object: Gene
Symbol: UGT2B7
Name: UDP glucuronosyltransferase family 2 member B7
Acc ID: CHEBI:5004
Term: fenoprofen
Definition: A monocarboxylic acid that is propanoic acid in which one of the hydrogens at position 2 is substituted by a 3-phenoxyphenyl group. A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, the dihydrate form of the calcium salt is used for the management of mild to moderate pain and for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with disorders such as arthritis. It is pharmacologically similar to aspirin, but causes less gastrointestinal bleeding.
Chemical ID: MESH:D005279
Note: Use of the qualifier "multiple interactions" designates that the annotated interaction is comprised of a complex set of reactions and/or regulatory events, possibly involving additional chemicals and/or gene products.
