RGD ID: 2053
Species: Rattus norvegicus
RGD Object: Gene
Symbol: Parp1
Name: poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1
Acc ID: CHEBI:41688
Term: crystal violet
Definition: An organic chloride salt that is the monochloride salt of crystal violet cation. It has been used in creams for the topical treatment of bacterial and fungal infections, being effective against some Gram-positive bacteria (notably Staphylococcus species) and some pathogenic fungi (including Candida species) but use declined following reports of animal carcinogenicity. It has also been used for dying wood, silk, and paper, as well as a histological stain.
Chemical ID: MESH:D005840
Note: Use of the qualifier "multiple interactions" designates that the annotated interaction is comprised of a complex set of reactions and/or regulatory events, possibly involving additional chemicals and/or gene products.
