Tcf factors

Members of the Tcf (Tcf/Lef) family of transcription factors interact with beta-catenin to activate the transcription of Wnt target genes. In the absence of beta-catenin, Tcfs partner with Tle (Groucho) members and repress the transcription of Wnt targets. Several members (including Lef1) are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to report pages:

Tcf7 (Tcf-1) – transcription factor 7
Tcf7l1 (Tcf3) – transcription factor 7 like 1
Tcf7l2 (Tcf4) – transcription factor 7 like 2
Lef1 – lymphoid enhancer binding factor 1 (shown individually in the diagram)
