AKAP members
AKAP scaffold proteins bring together the PKA complex (and other kinases), phosphodiesterases and phosphatases that modulate the cAMP signal, in some cases adenylyl cyclases or target proteins and compartmentalize them to particular subcellular locations. Akaps primarily target the regulatory subunit type II but a few possess dual specificity. The Akap genes are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to gene report pages:
