NMJ nAChR

The neuromuscular (NMJ) nicotinic receptor pentamer is formed by two alpha1 subunits, the beta1 and delta subunits and depending on developmental stage, the gamma or epsilon subunits. The gamma subunit is present during embryonic development and is replaced by the epsilon subunit in adult muscle. The genes are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to gene report pages:

Chrna1 (ACHRA) – cholinergic receptor nicotinic alpha 1 subunit
Chrnb1 (Acrb, RNACRB1) – cholinergic receptor nicotinic beta 1 subunit
Chrnd (ACHRD) – cholinergic receptor nicotinic delta subunit
Chrng (ACHRG) – cholinergic receptor nicotinic gamma subunit
Chrne (ACHRE) – cholinergic receptor nicotinic epsilon subunit
