Hif target genes

Hypoxia inducible factor targets include genes involved in glucose and energy homeostasis, iron homeostasis, erythropoiesis and angiogenesis, among others. Representative targets are listed with aliases in parentheses, full name and link to gene report pages:

Pdk1 – pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isozyme 1
Ldha (LDH-A, LDH-M) – lactatde dehydrogenase A
Slc2a1 (Glut1, GTG1) – solute carrier family 2 (facilitated glucose transporter), member 1
Aldoa (Aldo1) – aldolase A, fructose-bisphosphate
Epo – erythropoietin
Vegfa (Vegf) – vascular endothelial growth factor A
Angpt2 (Agpt2, Ang-2) – angiopoietin 2
Tek (Tie2, Tie-2) – TEK tyrosine kinase, endothelial
Bnip3 – BCL2/adenovirus EiB interacting protein 3
Nos2 (iNos, Nos2a) – nitric oxide synthase 2, inducible
