mastermind members

Maml – mastermind-like – can form complexes with NICD (Notch intracellular domain) and RBPJ to turn on the expression of Hes and Hey genes, the targets and effectors of Notch signaling. Maml can also downregulated Notch – along with Skip protein they can recruit kinases to target Notch for degradation. Maml members are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to gene report pages:

Maml1 – mastermind-like transcriptional coactivator 1
Maml2 – mastermind-like transcriptional coactivator 2
Maml3 – mastermind-like transcriptional coactivator 3
