Your rat photos can be next year’s sensation! Submit for the RGD calendar!

RGD is accepting photos and other content for the 2022 RGD Calendar! We need your cute/fun/charming, high resolution photos of rats as well as digital images of other types of rat-centric artwork such as drawings, paintings and cartoons of rats which you have drawn/painted. If your animals are camera shy or if you prefer to express yourself with words, how about submitting poems, sayings or other text which you have written that you would like to see included in the calendar? RGD is also accepting photos of other animals we currently house data for, including dog, chinchilla, 13-lined ground squirrel, pig, and bonobo. As you might expect, we are all about the strain data and giving credit where credit is due, so when sending photos of your favorite strains, don’t forget to include information such as strain symbol and name, developer of the strain and any associated citations or references. If you are submitting photos of pet rats, please include information such as their names, ages, and breed/color/markings. In addition, we are happy to include a link to an applicable website in the photo caption so if you or your lab has a web page, please also include the URL in your submission. Please send high quality digital images and other submissions to us at RGD.Community@mcw.edu by Wednesday, October 20th. That’s only two weeks from now so don’t delay! Also, as our “Thank You!” to the rat research community for your ongoing support we will mail calendars to you free of charge. If you would like hard copies of the 2022 Rat Calendar, please send an email with your name, shipping address and how many calendars you would like to the email address above (or use the “Contact Us” link at the top of any RGD page).
