Jnk Dusp members

Dual specificity phosphatases dephosphorylate both threonine and tyrosine residues in the activation loop of Mapks. Among the phosphatases that regulate the Jnk cascade are Dusp8, 10 and 16 of type III and possibly Dusp1 of type I; type III family members localize both in the cytoplasm and the nucleus, type I are nuclear proteins. The Jnk Dusp phosphatases are listed with full names, aliases in parentheses and links to gene report pages:

Dusp1 (Mkp1, Mkp-1) – dual specificity phosphatase 1
Dusp8 (Hb5, M3/6) – dual specificity phosphatase 8
Dusp10 (Mkp5, Mkp-5) – dual specificity phosphatase 10
Dusp16 (Mkp7, Mkp-7) – dual specificity phosphatase 16
