atRA CYPs

Members of the cytochrome P450 family 26 are involved in the catabolism of all-trans retinoic acid (atRA). Metabolites include 5,6-epoxy-atRA, 4-oxo-atRA, 4-hydroxy-atRA, 18-hydroxy-atRA. The three enzymes are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to gene report pages:

Cyp26a1 (Cyp26) – cytochrome P450, family 26, subfamily a, polypeptide 1
Cyp26b1 (CYP26A2) – cytochrome P450, family 26, subfamily b, polypeptide 1
