Description: The wild type rats were littermates of cross of heterozygous Il6 mutant rats. The wild type littermates were used as experimental controls for the homozygous mutant SD-Il6em1Yona-/- (RGD:407450413) generated using the CRISPR/Cas9 technique to induce a 118 bp deletion in the reading frame of the second exon of Il6 by KAC Co. Ltd (Kyoto, Japan).
