Description: Established from a closed colony of Wistar-Imamichi (WIC) rats as a spontaneous mutant exhibiting congenital dwarfism (rdw), is inherited as an autosomal recessive. This strain has a spontaneous missense mutation, G2320R, in the thyroglobul gene.
