Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in autosomal recessive limb-girdle muscular dystrophy; congenital merosin-deficient muscular dystrophy 1A; muscular dystrophy; and myopia. Orthologous to human LAMA2 (laminin subunit alpha 2).
