Description: This Muc1 allele carrying a deletion in exon 1 of rat Muc1 was created by injecting TALENs to Sprague Dawley embryos. Genotyping was performed by PCR of tail DNA using primers specific for the rat MUC1 gene with forward primer 5′-CTAGCAAGCCTAAAAGGTGAGAGGT-3′ and reverse primer 5′-ACGAAGAGCATTTGCCTACTC-3′, followed by DNA sequencing analysis.
