Gene: Adrb3 (adrenergic receptor, beta 3) Mus musculus
Analyze
Symbol: Adrb3
Name: adrenergic receptor, beta 3
RGD ID: 10110
MGI Page MGI
Description: Enables beta-3 adrenergic receptor binding activity. Involved in positive regulation of cold-induced thermogenesis. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including brown fat cell differentiation; diet induced thermogenesis; and norepinephrine-epinephrine-mediated vasodilation involved in regulation of systemic arterial blood pressure. Located in membrane. Is expressed in central nervous system; early conceptus; oocyte; and retina. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); arthritis (multiple); dilated cardiomyopathy 1H; metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease; and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Orthologous to human ADRB3 (adrenoceptor beta 3).
Type: protein-coding
RefSeq Status: VALIDATED
Previously known as: Adrb; Adrb-3; beta 3-AR; beta-3 adrenergic receptor; Beta-3 adrenoceptor; beta-3 adrenoreceptor; Beta-3 AR; beta3-adrenergic receptor
