GENE - CHEMICAL INTERACTIONS REPORT

RGD ID: 1604061
Species: Homo sapiens
RGD Object: Gene
Symbol: CCL5
Name: C-C motif chemokine ligand 5
Acc ID: CHEBI:73468
Term: masoprocol
Definition: The meso-form of nordihydroguaiaretic acid. An antioxidant found in the creosote bush, Larrea divaricata, it is a potent lipoxygenase inhibitor that interferes with arachidonic acid metabolism. It also inhibits (though to a lesser extent) formyltetrahydrofolate synthetase, carboxylesterase, and cyclooxygenase.
Chemical ID: MESH:D009637
Note: Use of the qualifier "multiple interactions" designates that the annotated interaction is comprised of a complex set of reactions and/or regulatory events, possibly involving additional chemicals and/or gene products.
