GENE - CHEMICAL INTERACTIONS REPORT

RGD ID: 1352962
Species: Homo sapiens
RGD Object: Gene
Symbol: CYP3A4
Name: cytochrome P450 family 3 subfamily A member 4
Acc ID: CHEBI:585948
Term: felodipine
Definition: The mixed (methyl, ethyl) diester of 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylic acid. A calcium-channel blocker, it lowers blood pressure by reducing peripheral vascular resistance through a highly selective action on smooth muscle in arteriolar resistance vessels. It is used in the management of hypertension and angina pectoris.
Chemical ID: MESH:D015736
Note: Use of the qualifier "multiple interactions" designates that the annotated interaction is comprised of a complex set of reactions and/or regulatory events, possibly involving additional chemicals and/or gene products.
