Definition:A drink made up of water and a specified amount of dexamethasone (DEX) consumed by an organism as part of an experiment. DEX is a long-acting synthetic adrenocorticoid, analogous to but more potent than cortisol (a natural hormone produced by the adrenal glands), with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant activities.
