Definition:The pathway of arbekacin-target interaction and of the biochemical or physiological responses to drug. Arbekacin inhibits protein synthesis by irreversibly binding to bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit. The drug is used for the treatment of infections caused by multi-resistant bacteria. Genetic variations can cause differences in the response of the organism to the drug.
