Term: angiotensin II signaling pathway via AT1 receptor
Accession: PW:0000527
browse the term
Definition: Angiotensin II signaling through the angiotensin type 1 receptor (AT1) activates downstream signaling pathways and elicits a broad range of physiological responses. It is involved in the regulation of blood pressure and volume, water and electrolyte balance and exerts a potent vasoconstrictive effect.
