MAMMALIAN PHENOTYPE - ANNOTATIONS

The Mouse Adult Gross Anatomy Ontology and Mammalian Phenotype Ontology are downloaded weekly from the Mouse Genome Informatics databases at Jackson Laboratories (ftp://ftp.informatics.jax.org/pub/reports/index.html). For more information about these ontologies, see the MGI Publications Page at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/other/publications.shtml.

Term:abnormal heart ventricle pressure

Accession:MP:0008775 term browser browse the term
Definition:any anomaly in the pressure within a cardiac ventricle
Comment:Ventricular pressure waveforms can be measured in the beating heart by catheterization or estimated using imaging techniques (e.g., Doppler echocardiography). The information is useful in evaluating the function of the myocardium, cardiac valves and pericardium, particularly with simultaneous measurement of other (e.g., aortic or atrial) pressures.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: abnormal cardiac ventricular pressure;   abnormal heart intraventricular pressure;   abnormal heart ventricular pressure
