MEASUREMENT METHODS - ANNOTATIONS

The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. Definition:A method which quantifies the ion transporting effect exerted by Na-K-Cl cotransporters in a medium supplemented with sulfate. Na-K-Cl symporters transport sodium (Na), potassium (K), and chloride (Cl) ions across cell membranes. This assay substitutes sulfate for chloride.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: Na-K-Cl symporter activity assay in sulfate medium;   bumetanide-sensitive sodium flux assay in sulfate medium;   sodium-potassium-chloride symporter activity assay in sulfate medium
