Definition:The manner, procedure or technique by which a morphological or physiological state or property in an isolated body part is assessed and a quantitative or qualitative value assigned. An isolated body part is a subdivision of the material or physical structure of an organism, such as an organ, extremity or tissue, after it has been removed from the body.
