Anomalous staining of dystrophin in cardiomyocytes.
Comment:
Dystrophin, a 427-kD cytoskeletal protein, is a member of the beta-spectrin/alpha-actinin protein family. Dystrophin and the dystrophin-associated proteins (dystroglycans, sarcoglycans, sarcospan, dystrobrevin, and syntrophins) form a complex that is involved in contractile force transmission and stabilization of the plasma membrane.
