Definition:The process in which a seed trichome irreversibly increases in size in one [spatial] dimension or along one axis, resulting in the morphogenesis of the cell.
Comment:The increase in length of the seed trichome without cell division. Elongation is defined to be from 5 to 20 DPA in Gossypium spp.
