Term:response to increased oxygen levels
go back to main search page
Accession:GO:0036296 term browser browse the term
Definition:Any process that results in a change in state or activity of a cell or an organism (in terms of movement, secretion, enzyme production, gene expression, etc.) as a result of a stimulus reflecting an increase in the level of oxygen.
Comment:This term should be used when an increase in oxygen levels is not considered a stress response. For a hyperoxic stress response, consider instead 'response to hyperoxia ; GO:0055093.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: response to raised oxygen levels
