Accession:GO:0007501 term browser browse the term
Definition:The cell fate determination process in which a cell becomes capable of differentiating autonomously into a mesoderm cell in an environment that is neutral with respect to the developmental pathway; upon specification, the cell fate can be reversed.
Comment:Note that this term was 'fate specification in mesoderm'. String of term was changed to correspond to format of sibling terms 'endoderm cell fate specification' and 'ectoderm cell fate specification'.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: mesoderm cell fate specification
