Definition:The process of physically separating the septal cell wall material by enzymatic digestion, that occurs after daughter cells are separated by cytokinesis.
Comment:This term should not be used to describe the last step of cytokinesis in organisms without a cell wall, ie, the cell resealing of the plasma membrane via abscission. Consider annotating to 'GO:0061952 midbody abscission' to capture this process.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: cell separation following cytokinesis;   mitotic cytokinetic cell separation
related_synonym: cell separation after cytokinesis;   cytokinetic cell separation;   daughter cell separation
 alt_id: GO:1902409;   GO:2000695
