Definition:This is a calculated measurement in which the difference in the heart rate recorded between two or more dosages of a drug or chemical which reduces or increases the interior diameter of blood vessels is divided by the difference of the applied dosages and presented as a ratio, fraction, quotient or percentage. The value is calculated as the slope of the curve of the heart rate versus the chemical dose graph.
