CLINICAL MEASUREMENT - ANNOTATIONS

The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. For more information about these vocabularies please see Shimoyama et al. Three ontologies to define phenotype measurement data. Front Genet. 2012;3:87. Definition:Measurement of the amount of potassium ion that is blocked from being imported by bumetanide inhibition of the erythrocyte membrane transport protein that transports sodium (Na), potassium (K), and chloride (Cl) ions across the cell membrane into erythrocytes, in a specified volume of red blood cells during a specified unit of time. Rubidium is sometimes assayed as a substitute for potassium.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: bumetanide-sensitive K+ uptake rate;   bumetanide-sensitive erythrocyte K+ import rate;   bumetanide-sensitive red blood cell Rb+ import rate
