CLINICAL MEASUREMENT - ANNOTATIONS

The Clinical Measurement Ontology (CMO), Measurement Methods Ontology (MMO), and Experimental Condition Ontology (XCO) are currently being developed at the Rat Genome Database. For more information about these vocabularies please see Shimoyama et al. Three ontologies to define phenotype measurement data. Front Genet. 2012;3:87. Definition:A calculated value for the negative logarithm of the concentration of norepinephrine at which the energy produced by the active reduction in the diameter of a blood vessel in response to the application of norepinephrine is half of the value of the highest achievable value of such norepinephrine-induced contractile energy. The logarithm of the concentration is the exponent indicating the power to which 10 must be raised to obtain that concentration value.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: NA pD2;   negative logarithm of the molar concentration of noradrenaline at which the force of blood vessel contraction is half the maximum value;   noradrenaline -Log EC50
