Definition:A calculated value in which the weight of the mesenteric fat pad, the encapsulated adipose tissue attached to the membranous fold or mesentery of the abdomen, is divided by the length of the tibia, the inner and larger bone of the lower leg or hindlimb, and presented as a ratio, fraction, quotient or percentage, thus normalizing it to the length of the leg and, by extension, to the length of the body.
