Definition:Any quantification of a morphological or physiological parameter of one or more nucleic acids in the heart. Nucleic acids are high-molecular-weight polymeric compounds composed of nucleotides, each consisting of a purine or pyrimidine base, a ribose or deoxyribose sugar, and a phosphate group, and are involved in the determination and transmission of genetic characteristics.
