blood B lymphocyte count to total lymphocyte count ratio
A calculated measurement in which the number of B cells in a specified sample of blood is divided by the total number of lymphocytes in the sample, and the result presented as a ratio, fraction, quotient or percentage. A B cell is a type of lymphocyte that, when stimulated by a particular antigen, differentiates into plasma cells that synthesize the antibodies which then circulate in the blood and react with the specific antigens.
