percentage of study population displaying type 2 diabetes mellitus at a point in time
The number of individuals in a study population which display type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) at a certain point in time compared to the total number of individuals in the study population, expressed as a percentage. T2DM is a form of diabetes often, although not universally, associated with obesity, insulin resistance, hyperlipidemia(s) and cardiovascular symptoms such as hypertension.
