Definition:A calculated measurement in which the weight after removal from the body but without desiccation of a single kidney, one of the paired organs which function to maintain proper water and electrolyte balance, regulate acid-base concentration, and filter the blood of metabolic wastes, is divided by the total weight of the body and presented as a ratio, percentage, fraction or quotient, thus normalizing it to body weight.
Synonyms:exact_synonym: individual kidney wet weight as percentage of body weight;   individual kidney wet weight to body weight ratio;   single kidney wet weight as percentage of body weight
