Definition:A benzenetriol that is a derivative of filicinic acid. Isolated from the stems and leaves of Hypericum drummondii, it exhibits antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis and the acid fast bacterium Mycobacterium smegmatis.
