RAR unconventional coregulators

RAR unconventional coregulators include those that repress transcription despite ligand-dependent recruitment to the receptors via their LxxLL motif which is characteristic of coactivators, or those that activate transcription despite lacking such a motif [check reference PMID 19471584]. The genes are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to gene report pages.

Transcriptional repression:
PRAME (MAPE, OPI4. CT130) – preferentially expressed antigen in melanoma (human gene)
TRIM24 (TIF1, TIFA, RNF82) – tripartite motif containing 24 (human gene)
Nrip1 (Rip140) – nuclear receptor interacting protein 1

Transcriptional activation:
Psmc5 (SUG-1, Trip1, p45/SUG) – proteasome 26S subunit, ATPase, 5
