filamins

Filamins bind to integrin beta receptors and inhibit their interaction with activators. In turn, they are bound by Fblim1, known as migfilin, proposed to displace filamin and thus promoting activation of receptors. For more information on integrin activators and inactivators, check PMID:23860236 and PMID:23719537. The three filamin genes are listed with aliases in parentheses, full name and link to gene report pages:

Flna (ABP-280, ABPX, alpha-filamin) – filamin A
Flnb (ABP-278, ABP-280 homolog, beta-filamin) – filamin B
Flnc (ABP-280-like protein, ABP-L, filamin-C, gamma-filamin) – filamin C
