calcium activated potassium channels

Small conductance calcium activated potassium channels (SK) – calcium sensitive/calcium activated channels that do not directly bind Ca2+; instead, they are modulated by the constitutively-bound calmodulin (CaM). For more information, check main text and PMID 21942705. Genes are listed with aliases in parentheses, full names and links to gene report pages:

Kcnn1 (SK1, KCa2.1) – potassium calcium-activated channel subfamily N member 1
Kcnn2 (SK2, KCa2.2) – potassium calcium-activated channel, subfamily N member 2
Kcnn3 (SK3, KCa2.3) – potassium calcium-activated channel, subfamily N member 3
Kcnn4 (SK4, KCa3.1) – potassium calcium-activated channel, subfamily N member 4
