The A20 ubiquitin-editing complex does not have strong deubiquitinase (DUB) activity, but it negatively regulates Tnf and downstream NF-kB signaling by promoting K48-linked ubiquitination of Ripk1 and by inhibiting the interaction of E3 ligases with their E2 partner(s).
