Strain: SS-Sod3m1Mcwi

Symbol: SS-Sod3m1Mcwi
Strain: SS-Sod3m1
Substrain: Mcwi
RGD ID: 1599758
Citation ID: RRID:RRRC_00415
Ontology ID: RS:0001480
Alleles: Sod3m1Mcwi
Also Known As: SS-Sod3m1Mcwi; SOD3E124D Rat; SS-Sod3^[m1Mcwi]
Type: mutant
Available Source: Rat Resource and Research Center
Origination: PhysGen
Description: Male founders were injected with ENU (N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea) and harem bred to females. The pups were genetically screened using the TILLING assay (an enzyme-based heteroduplex cleavage assay) as well as nucleotide sequencing to identify and characterize target genes possessing ENU-induced mutations. The E124D mutation was generated from the codon change GAG/GAT.
Last Known Status: Cryopreserved Sperm (as of 2021-11-03)
