Description: Zinc Finger Nuclease (ZFN) was utilized to knockout rat CD40 function in the embryos of SS/JrHsd rats. The target sequence (CAGCACCGACACTGCgaactcAGTGCGTGGGGCTGCCGGG) introduced an 11 bp-deletion (CTGCGAACTCA) in the third exon of the Cd40 gene, resulted in a trucated protein.
