Strain: SD-Cntnap2em1Sage

Symbol: SD-Cntnap2em1Sage
Strain: SD-Cntnap2em1
Substrain: Sage
Ontology ID: RS:0004310
Alleles: Cntnap2em1Sage
Also known as: SD-Cntnap2tm1Sage; TGRS8820
Type: mutant
Source: Horizon Discovery
Origin: The ZFN mutant rat strain was produced by injecting zinc finger nuclease targeting rat Met into Sprague Dawley embryos. The resulting mutation was a 5-bp deletion in exon 6 of Cntnap2. Homozygous knockout rats exhibit complete loss of target protein as demonstrated by Western blot.
